YogaFish Recommends…

Care For Your Body:

Diversified Therapeutics– Located in the same plaza as we are, just down the sidewalk. Calvin, Jackie and their team offer “prehabilitation” and rehabilitation through corrective exercise, personal training and manual therapy, in addition to steel mace and cardio dance classes (the perfect complement to your yoga practice). They are conscientious, caring, and often able to see and correctthings other therapists may have missed. Ask Laura for her personal testimony!

Oceanside Physical Therapy  is Laura’s first choice for physical therapy recommendations– they helped her achieve full range of motion after a complex arm fracture requiring two surgeries. They are caring, experienced, and willing to go the extra mile to help their patients.

Stuart Acupuncture– Stuart Acupuncture is a community clinic founded by Hillary Heidelberg, L.Ac., offering low cost, affordable treatments at $20-$40 for all patients regardless of income.  The sliding scale allows you to receive treatment regularly and long enough to get better and stay better. Hillary is a yogi herself and has partnered with us to offer YogaFish students a discount so that they can pay as little as $15 per treatment.

Complete Care Chiropractic Dr. Leo Hart understands that a yoga practice and chiropractic care, as part of a holistic health plan, go hand in hand. A surfer and a yogi himself, he regularly refers his clients to us. He keeps Laura’s cranky hips and back in proper alignment and she is happy to recommend him!  Complete Chiropractic Care offers a complimentary initial consultation.

Simpson Chiropractic– Laura highly recommends Dr. Simpson and Dr. Grassam. Their compassionate, thorough care and diligent follow-up make them favorites among YogaFish students. We recommend them unreservedly for your chiropractic needs.

Island Touch Massage– Beverly Dinofer, LMT has been taking care of clients in Stuart for over 10 years. Her warmth and compassion can be felt in her healing touch. As a YogaFish student herself, Beverly offers a discount to all YogaFish students on massage. Please ask for details.

Fitness Programs to Complement Your Yoga Practice:

Diversified Therapeutics, located at the end of our plaza, offers steel mace and WERQ cardio dance classes that are intelligent and fun. The steel mace improves grip strength, shoulder mobility and stability, and functional movement patterns– all things that yogis need to complement their practice. WERQ is a fun cardio dance experience that will have you moving in ways you never thought possible, in a non-judgmental and fun atmosphere. Your first class is free!

Pilates and Your Palate offers Reformer Pilates classes and culinary wellness coaching. Many of our students are also Pilates and Your Palate clients.

Coffee Bar Blue Door  is a magical getaway in downtown Stuart. Coffee by day, wine by night, the friendliest, most professional baristas around. Enjoy an almond-milk latte in the courtyard on a cool spring morning, or a glass of Italian wine with live entertainment in the evening. Ask about vegan/gluten-free baked goods, too.

Bunkhouse Coffee Bar is worth the drive to Jensen Beach for the most vegan options, friendly service and charming retro setting.

Fruits and Roots Vegan Cafe offers a delicious plant-based menu using organic and local produce. Friendly, fast service and the highest-quality meals. Minutes away from the studio, perfect for a quick smoothie or lunch after class. Many gluten-free items.

Importicos Bakery and Cafe is the best bakery in our area, offering European-style breads that are free of chemicals, preservatives, fats and dairy. They also offer vegan angluten-free items. Their pastries are heavenly and they do offer some vegan options.

India Palace is an excellent vegetarian (and some vegan-friendly options), served by the kindest, friendliest staff. The lunch specials are delicious and quite reasonable.

Kazu is Jaye and Laura’s favorite Japanese restaurant. Fresh sushi (great veg options) and lots of fun vegan options. Do try the spinach gomae, veggie tempura, agedashi tofu, and eggplant special.

Krua Thai is another favorite of both Jaye and Laura. The service is excellent, lunch specials reasonable, and food delicious.

Taco Shack has several vegan-friendly, gluten-free options on their creative menu, and they care enough to label them! Outdoor, dog-friendly seating.
